UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, seeks passionate and dynamic Young and Emerging Evaluators to join the team as part of the Regional Programme Evaluation (RPE) in West and Central Africa. This consultancy offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the evaluation of UNFPA’s Strategic Plan 2022-2025 while driving impactful change in the region.
Purpose and Scope of Consultancy
The selected consultants will play a crucial role in conducting the RPE, contributing to data collection, analysis, and the development of the evaluation report. Working closely with the Evaluation Team Leader and UNFPA’s evaluation manager, they will ensure the timely completion of tasks adhering to evaluation standards.
Duration and Working Schedule
This consultancy spans 90 working days from January to September 2024. The work will be executed remotely, with no travel required, offering flexibility and a home-based work environment.
Key Deliverables and Monitoring
The deliverables, including the inception report, data collection, draft and final RPE reports, will be submitted electronically in English as per set deadlines. Payment will be released upon approval of these key milestones.
Supervision and Qualifications
The Young and Emerging Evaluators, under 35 years old, should hold a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields, possess at least two years of experience in program monitoring and evaluation or research related to UNFPA’s mandate, and demonstrate proficiency in evaluation methodologies, quantitative and qualitative analysis, organizational and communication skills.
